One of Santa Fe’s oldest Heritage Markets, the Summer Spanish Market attracts over 70,000 visitors every year.
Come join the fun as over 250 Adult and Youth Spanish Market artists exhibit hand-made artwork for sale along the streets surrounding the historic Santa Fe Plaza. Bandstand entertainment is featured throughout the weekend and a Food Court offering Hispanic cuisine, cold and hot drinks, and dessert items is featured.
Over 300 years old, Santa Fe’s biggest celebration is a ten-day series of bailles, processions, parades, and musical performances, various venues.
This year will mark the 44th time that the Balloon Fiesta has filled Albuquerque’s crystal blue skies. The Balloon Fiesta is still the premier international ballooning event, powered by the perfect October climate and a phenomenon called the “Albuquerque Box,” (a combination of weather patterns and geographic landscape, the box allows balloonists to control and even retrace their adventure).
A five-day celebration of the best in cinematic arts, the 15th Annual Santa Fe Film Festival will run December 2nd- 6th, 2015 with a program of over 100 films, panels, juried awards, workshops and parties.
One of Santa Fe’s most beloved holiday traditions, the Canyon Road Farolito Walk, lights up the hearts and souls of thousands who promenade this famous path on Christmas Eve.
Small, sand-filled, paper bags illuminated with votive candles line the historic neighborhood streets and adobe walls. Carolers gather around the farolitos (Spanish for paper lantern) or luminarias (small bonfires), and sing for joy as they warm themselves, and our hearts, from the cold night.
The Farolito Walk is free, and has become a celebrated annual tradition.
Since 2004, International Folk Art Market in Santa Fe has hosted more than 750 artists from 92 countries in the world’s largest exhibition and sale of works by master folk artists. The Market offers folk artists a respected spot in the global marketplace to gather together and share their handmade traditions, and to create economic, social, and individual empowerment.
The Santa Fe Wine & Chile Fiesta is an annual five-day weekend of events featuring the culinary artistry found in over 75 of Santa Fe, New Mexico’s many excellent restaurants coupled with the sophistication and wines of over 90 national wineries.
The Santa Fe Wine & Chile Fiesta Grand Tasting is the last full weekend in September and tickets always go on sale the first business day after Independence Day at 9am Mountain Time. For 2015 that will be Monday July 6th.
